This is the final part of our 3-part series on some of our beloved “long-timers” at UpState Hearing. Check out previous posts to get to know Larry Branscom and Elrose Caruso. This week we want to introduce you to Diane Campbell-Hepburn, a patient at UpState Hearing since 1983. Diane has a real compassion for people combined with an easy and infectious laugh.
Diane worked at Shasta County Mental Health as a licensed clinical social worker before she retired after 20 years of service. During her career Diane was responsible for emergency room 5150 evaluations. She determined if someone was a danger to themselves or others and whether or not to detain them for a 72- hour hold.
Diane has been married to Scott Hepburn for 16 years. Together they have a blended family of five children, all born in the month of May! Currently she enjoys her volunteer work at Turtle Bay School, which her grandson attends.
Diane has been an active member of Redding Pilgrim Congregational Church for 40 years, the American Association of University Women (AAUW) for 7 years, and the Women’s Fund since its inception in 2008. Obviously, Diane has not allowed her hearing loss to prevent her from achieving her full potential.
